La Casita de Platero Self-catering Cottage
For Availability click Here
This used to be the old stable where Platero, our donkey lived. When a neighbour bought him from us to keep his other donkeys company, we converted his stable and loft into a lovely holiday house. Outside the house there is an orchard meadow with old apple trees and fig trees. We sometimes have the sheep nearby and you will hear the tinkle of their bells as they graze. There is a high stone wall around the pool and garden area. An old mule trail runs from behind the house, providing a convenient track for walkers, linking you to Los Marines (20 Mins) or Fuenteheridos (40 mins) two charmingly typical white-washed pueblos.
There is a small private swimming pool (3m x 5m) which is perfect for cooling off on those hot lazy summer days.
La Casita de Platero has a good 3G mobile signal, and you will find an iPod dock ready to take your favourite music.
Inside the Casita de Platero, the cosy sitting room has a wood-fired stove (logs are provided) and offers comfortable chairs and sofas.
The large eat-in kitchen has a marble work-top, electric fan oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and clothes washer. There is an extendible kitchen table that seats eight, in case you feel like asking the neighbours in to eat with you!
The double bedroom has a king-size bed, and an en suite bathroom with tub/shower, handbasin and WC.
The twin room has an en suite walk-in shower, handbasin, and WC. All the bedroom furniture is handmade and hand-painted in Seville.
